Freeglut 3.0.0 On Windows, if you maximise the display window, then iconify/minimise, then click on the icon to restore the maximised window, the result is a black window (Windows 10) or a static view (Window 8.1). The window remains responsive to input (and the GLUT menu can be displayed) but the view is not updated. By choosing the "restore" control to return to the window size before the initial maximise, the program displays normally again.

This can be replicated with the Lorenz demonstration program.

I am cross-compiling on Ubuntu 16.04, if this is relevant.

Thanks for the report. I'll look into this. It's probably a window
message that is missed. Off the top of my head/not sure: windows are
not updated if freeglut thinks their minimized.

We have exactly the same problem, has anyone found a solution?

I may have found a fix and notified our dev mailing list about it. If things look good, it will get merged. The pull request is on our mirror: https://github.com/dcnieho/FreeGLUT/pull/56/files
