FOG 0.29 (maybe also 0.30)
Server: Debian Squeeze AMD64
Client: 64bit PC
Imaged computer cannot load grub. The clone doesn't boot into the grub menu, instead it shows simply the text GRUB with a blinking cursor.
I have a multi partition layout (without extended partitions): sda1 ntfs, sda2 ext3, sda3 linux swap. Images I do are Single-Disk-Multi-Partition images. I haven't tried a single partition image, but I tried to change the image †ype either to Windows or Linux, which doesn't change anything visibly.
As you can guess on the first partition is W7 and on the second a Debian GNU/Linux. Even if I use the M$ bootloader to chain load GRUB, the same symptom appears.
I found a blog post, which mentions this problem and its probable cause. I haven't investigated further, but please have a look: http://ivoras.net/blog/tree/2010-09-25.adventures-with-fog-project-aka-all-software-sucks.html "Problem #3" and also "Problem #2".
Thanks for fixing this.
