I have an uneasy feeling about this project. It basically does what it should do but seems to act a bit like a malware/spyware at times, hard to put a finger on it. I used it for a while but now am looking for something more transparent.

Works okay but the developers are weird and will taunt you with "why do you want to know this" if you ask for help and completely ignore perfectly sensible suggestions if they don't fit with their personal usage of the product.

It's not really open source, and it's closer to malware than what the "team" acknowledges. Not worth it.

I've been using Free Download Manager for years--with FlashGot and Firefox, to grab "hidden" non-downloadable videos--and finally moved to FDM 5.0 Alpha. It is working absolutely perfectly for me. I quickly grew to love the new, clean UI after a few downloads. Definitely worthy of a beta label (or stable). TL;DR: The finest download manager around. Highly recommended. Thank you, team FDM.

using for long time. it is still good with every new version. I hope no new version spoil that impression.
