[Freedos-user] can't boot freedos

Hi all,
I am using grub and have been unable to boot freedos.
When I boot I get the message freedos can't find kernel.sys.
I reinstalled freedos and I am pretty sure I made it bootable.
Is my problem my grub??
I would think that grub found the partition because it tried to boot 
freedos.
