Hi Alex, an obvious question: What is wrong about the already existing pages which collect legacy DOS software? It may the that they are not MANAGED by FreeDOS people, but it is not like the typical FreeDOS user would be bored :-) And you could of course donate your private collections - depending on license - to the existing legacy DOS software websites... One of the sites that are quite decent and careful about licenses, a game related site, is www.classicdosgames.com/all.html :-) Recommending the best could be done without mention of places for downloads, so some sort of review-of- DOS-classics could probably be done by FreeDOSers. The FreeDOS Software List is indeed just listing the free and very preferrably also open source software which is part of the FreeDOS ISO image. Adding lots of other things could even make the ISO too big for a BluRay disk because so much legacy stuff is out in the internet - often also with vague licenses and no support by any of the authors etc. Eric |
