I'm not a programmer per se -- just a network adminstrator/validation coordinator who dabbles in programming -- but I think you're probably right about the need to move the Freedom Force modding and scripting efforts to this sort of area.
I do think it's important to help keep the non-modding portion of the Freedom Force community aware and enthused about what we're doing, though, which is where general public forums like the FFBB area come in handy. Without the support of the general FF community at large, we'll end up doing these mods for our own amusement. Which is why I'm working on Iron Mod, I guess, but it's nice to get feedback and to know that others are enjoying what we're doing, too.
So, even though programming isn't my strong suit, feel free to think of me as our liason to the gaming community at large!
