Hi,
I love free chat-server. I have looked at all the
alternatives (I can list them if you like), and this is
by far the best. However, I already have Tomcat as my
web server/servlet container and don't want another
running (the one that comes with free chat-server).
Not only does that mean I must expose two ports, but I
also can't leverage the maturity of a known, accepted
web server like Tomcat (or Websphere, or Weblogic, or
JBoss, etc...)
In other words, I don't know if there are bugs (without
very closely analyzing Server.java) which might expose
my machine to harm from malicious users. On the other
hand, I know Tomcat and these other web servers are
about as bullet-proof as can be.
Is there any way you can offer a "non-stand-alone"
package; e.g., a WAR or EAR for use by existing servers?
Thank you for reading.
