FreeBSD Explorer is a shell script which gathers systems information to give you a point-in-time view of a FreeBSD system.
You can use collected data to monitor your systems status, port versions, file system utilisation, file system layouts etc.
The current version of explorer gathers statistics on the following:
- kernel messages
- loaded modules
- sysctl settings
- rc.conf
- nsswitch.conf
- auth.log
- crashdumps
- last and lastcomm
- network interface configurations
- basic jail information
- netstat
- port versions
- disk partition layouts
- zfs layouts
- disk information
*Note: This is not a replacement for active monitoring or backups
