Linuxbios is now part of freebios. The build mechanism is different, since we support more than one bios out of the shared tree.
To build a bios for, e.g., the SIS630, you would:
cd freebios/linuxbios/SIS630
make
For the 630, this creates a romimage which can be burned into a 28SF040 flash part. How you get the romimage file to the flash part is up to you.
For the L440GX, what is created are a sequence of files to be used on an Intel phlash disk. See the ROOTDOIT script to see how to get the files onto a disk.... read more
Bruce Evans' 16-bit C compiler is now packaged and made easily available, ideally for BIOS programmers who would prefer to program in 16-bit C instead of assembly.
The FreeBIOS build system has been converted to use automake.
