FreDL is a repository for all kinds of informations the association members need to handle to plan, prepare and organize model railroad meetings. For a good preparation, organizers need to have an overview of the material that will be available for a meeting. On the other hand, members are in charge to prepare their vehicles, modules and other equipments according to our rules. Especially, to enable the "serious play" with model railroads, we need vehicles cards to identify the vehicles and their properties, detail information about modules that are relevant for the planning phase (geometry, ability to handle shunting services, etc.) and much more ... most of the "management"-like stuff like the cards can be easily created based on the data entered into this application.
This application has been developed with a lot of love and time investment, but nevertheless, it is a freetime project. We are volunteers and are happy about other volunteers supporting us to improve the software and the experience for our users. We are happy to hear from you if you like to support.
We have chosen to make the software available for free, but not without rules. We decided to base the legal part of this software on the GNU model:
