The bug is not reproducible on both K8 and Barcelona platforms.

[The bug might be due to a combination of de-normalized numbers and the flags set to handle/not-handle de-normalized numbers by the application calling the routine. This kind of problem was seen earlier too but had no issues with regular range of input data.]
