Frame2 Web Application Framework / News: Recent posts

The plugins have been updated again with some new functionality. Wizards have been added to make SOAP tasks easier, and documentation has been updated. As usual, the best way to get the plugins is from the update site: http://frame2.megatome.com/eclipse

The Eclipse Plugin has been updated and an optional plugin has been added that makes web services development easier. The new plugin allows new projects to be created with full library and configuration support, and includes new wizards for creating Responders and Schema mappings. I even wrote some doc to explain how it all works! Grab it from the Frame2 Update Site: http://frame2.megatome.com/eclipse

The Eclipse plugin for Frame2 has been updated to work with version 1.3. Download it from SF, or use the Eclipse Update Manager (preferred) and point to http://frame2.megatome.com/eclipse

An additional plugin will be released soon that makes working with web services easier.

Version 1.3 of Frame2 has been released! The samples will be updated shortly with 1.3 versions as well. Expect the Eclipse plugin in a week or two.

The soap example had the wrong config file - it's been fixed!

Version 1.2 has been released! This update includes the main Frame2 files plus the Eclipse plugin and example applications. 1.2 is mostly a maintenance release - it should behave just like 1.1.

1.2 will be the last version released for Java 1.4 (apart from bugfixes). The next version of Frame2 will be built using Java 5.

The first Eclipse plugin for Frame2 is available. The plugin provides several wizard to ease the development of Frame2 based applications. This release should work on Eclipse 2 and 3. If you'd like to try the autoupdate feature, point your Eclipse installation at http://frame2.sourceforge.net/eclipse

The first release candidate is out! All existing bugs have been fized, and all unit tests finally run. If you're tired of using those "other" web frameworks and want to try something else, download Frame2 today!

The second beta is ready for download. This release fixes some small problems and paves the way for 1.0 - coming soon.
