I once installed FoxServ 3 without any hassles
right...everything was working fine. One time i had to
remove foxserv for some reason.
I just uninstalled it...got rid of the Services
somehow...and then just deleted the foxserv folder.

Now this is where is shitted itself...

When i try to reinstall foxserv 3 it works fine during
installation...Mysql never had problems but apache
never wants to work again..ie localhost doesn't load and
my IP doesn't load any webpage in Internet Explorer.
I also notice, and i don't know why, but "restart" apache
in the apache monitor doesn't work every now and then.

I tried to look all over for what settings could be wrong in
apache...i changed the port...tried different ports...but
nothing is working. My firewalls are all off...and there
should be nothing else running. I have Mcafee virus
scanner...err...Trillian...norton ghost...and that's about
it...so i don't think that's the problem. Apache
sais "Running all apache services" but so what if it aint
showing up in IE?

Well so my Localhost doesn't work...(even if i try
127.0.0.1:Port) and people also can't see anything when
trying to look at a webpage on my computer through my
IP.

I believe my mistake was uninstalling FoxServ and then
just deleting the FoxServ folder...and not
somehow "properly" remove the Services from WinXP
Services. Could that be? Is it possible to stuff up apache
by just suddently terminating it? or just removing it?

So how do i get my localhost to work again...or apache
in general.

So any help would be appreciated...because i had the
same thing on my other computer and i had to reformat
for apache to work again, and i don't want to do this on
this computer.

Thankyou

Oliver
