As others have suggested, it's as easy as perhaps setting up a cron job
to rsync everything over periodically.
For what it's worth, in the TRIN project we put everything into git
repositories (LocalSite.cfg, htpasswd, data, pub, code) and I tried to
write some of this up at http://foswiki.org/Support/BestPracticeTip29
However, unless you're already good with git, or are actively developing
plugins/core or regularly doing large data migrations into Foswiki, I'd
probably recommend the rsync approach to keep it simple.
