following string statements do generate errors in the Fortran parser:

date='????????'
data='d2spec\'

Problem is cause by question marks (??) and backslash (\)

I've committed a regression test for this bug. However, the latest version of OFP (0.8.3) seems to handle this bug correctly. ROSE does as well so I'm closing the bug report.
