First off, thanks for the great work on getting this library up and open
sourcing it! In the context of open source and contributing, would you
have any interest in moving this repo to GitHub? Any specific reason you
chose to open it up on SourceForge?

When I looked for a site to host this project, it looked like SourceForge was the best fit for me. This is really just something I occassionally do in my free time, so I'm trying to keep things simple.
