Hi there,

The admin for the Rosegarden project recently added the 'Rosegarden for Windows' subproject. I'm an admin on that subproject but I can't appear to do anything with it. To whit:

  • I can't update the description, links on the landing page. Meta data changes don't appear to make any difference
  • I can't upload any files to the subproject - despite being an admin
  • There is no link back to the main 'Rosegarden' project from the sub-project

Can you tell me how we can fix this - is it a bug or are the permissions wrong for my user (bownie)?

Regards,
Richard Bown

I'm the admin he speaks of, and changes I make to the subproject metadata don't have any effect either.

I can upload files, but after I sit through the counter I get "Error uploading blah" and it was all for naught.

I can find no documentation explaining how subprojects are supposed to work, so I've just been winging it. All empirical evidence suggests that subprojects are quite broken.

What we're trying to do is develop the fork under the same roof as the main project, but in a separate room, rather than off in some entirely separate space. It's a noble enough idea, I think, but the implementation thus far is not at all satisfactory.

You can add the "External Link" tool to create one (though in this case, it wouldn't be "external").

I'll let you know when the tickets above are addressed.

This should be fixed now. If you're still having problems, please open a new ticket.
