#2832 Question about user permissions

No

As the blog article at http://sourceforge.net/blog/improved-permissions-ui/ states there is an improved user permissions interface. The question is, what are these permissions for? I see that only admin can create and update. The question is create and update what?

I see that the wiki permissions are hidden on another page that doesn't appear to be linked (https://sourceforge.net/p/fll-sw/admin/wiki/permissions) and doesn't line up with these permissions, so I'm at a loss as to how all of this is to be controlled.

It seems that most of the SF help documentation is still focused on Trac rather than Allura.

OK, I found the link to the wiki permissions, but I still don't know what these user permissions are for.

I have a work-in-progress document on project permissions, this should answer some of your questions at least. Let me know if this helps and/or what needs clarifications.

This helps and would be great to have linked from the site documentation help links. However it doesn't answer what the permissions on this page relate to:

Permission descriptions have been added to the tool specific permission pages themselves.

The project-wide permission settings will be worked on here: [allura:tickets:#6084]
