Change default HEAD branch and delete old master branch
Project: msp-powershell-scripts
Repository: code
I've pushed a new main branch and need master deleted from the remote. The
server-side Git HEAD still points to master, which prevents deletion via git
push origin --delete master (receive.denyDeleteCurrent).
Please:
The master branch contains credential history that has been scrubbed in main.
Thank you.
Hi,
Thank you for letting us know.
I’ve escalated this to the Engineering team, and they looking into it.
Sincerely,

Hello,
Your repository has been updated, and 'main' is now the head. Please verify that everything is working as expected.
We haven’t deleted your branch, as we usually prefer projects to manage that themselves. You can do so at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
SourceForge Support
