#27451 i can't seem to contact Asaf Shakarchi regarding Velo

hi sf team

i tried to message Asaf few times no answer, i tried to look for him in linkenin or facebook can't seem to find him and this project has been kind of abandond as of 2007 its open source based on GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2) site doesn't work anymore, i wanted to update Velo but i didn't wanna create a new project name and called velo again so i wanted to see if its possible for me to take over the project and help update it.

Given that the project has been inactive for many years and you haven’t been able to get in touch with the administrator.

It would be better to publish your update under a slightly modified name that clearly indicates it’s a continuation or new iteration of the original project.

That way, you avoid confusion around ownership or official status while keeping things transparent and respectful to the original work.
