#23956 dropped projects

Three of my projects (barvinok, libpet, ppcg) apparently got deleted. (I just recreated them.)
In the case of libpet, this is the second time. When I reported this the first time,
I was told it probably got deleted due to inactivity. How can I prevent this from happening
in the future? That is, how do I keep the projects "active"?
Also, why don't I even get informed that the project has been or is going to be deleted?

    Hello,

To keep a project active you just need to work on it.
Publish your releases and upload source code.

We have automatic tasks, if your projects stays empty for long, they will be removed again.

    Sincerely,
    SourceForge Support

I actually published my releases on the web site hosted by sourceforge,
but I guess you want me to put them in files as well. I'l try that.

    Hello,

Our webspace feature is to enhance, support or demo your project.
Projects are expected to have releases and/or source code in their respective tabs.

We have several code repositories available for you to work with (Git, SVN, Mercurial)
    Also import tools.

The most basic way to upload source is to upload a zip file to your files tab.

    Sincerely,
    SourceForge Support
