Hello!
How do I stop receiving emails when I create a ticket or comment on the ticket?
It's like how when I email to a mailman mailing list I don't receive the copy of my email because I know what I emailed. Simillarly, I don't want the copy of my ticket/comment emailed to me as I know what I wrote.
So, where do I turn off that setting?
Thanks!
PS - I know that now I will be receiving an email from SourceForge containuing this very ticket text! Absurd!

Hello,
Thank you, we do not currently support this feature you are looking for.
The current notification controls we support are:
As a workaround you could disable all ticket notifications for a particular project by going to: your user profile > notifications tab, and unchecking the particular project's tickets tool. Then you can re-subscribe to individual ticket threads that you are interested in by hitting the mail icon in the upper right corner of the ticket.
As for the specific feature you are asking for: I am moving this ticket to our feature-request area and notifying our development team.
Sincerely
SourceForge Support
So, after doing this if I open a new ticket in that project I won't be getting email for what I just wrote in ticket body? Also, if instead of opening a new ticket I comment on the existing ticket then I won't be getting the email copy of my comment (just like how I will be receiving the email copy of this comment. I don't want it.)?
If you use other source control sites like github, gitlab then you'll see that their default behavior is not to spam the user with the copy of their own comment or with the copy of the body of pull request/merge request/issue they created.
Hi,
Unfortunately, no. This current "workaround" will still send you emails whenever you create a ticket that you are subscribed to or comment on a ticket you are subscribed to. It is merely a way of limiting which tickets you are subscribed to.
For the feature that you are asking about, SourceForge does not currently support it. However, I feel it is a good request and a good feature, so I have moved this ticket to the feature request area and notified our development team.
Sincerely,
SourceForge Support
