#1542 Getting unwanted notifications

No

Even though I have no project notification subscriptions for my account, I do get notifications about file releases I myself have made, for example to the "xtables-addons" project.

What I observe:

I get a [1] with a red background in the upper right of every webpage, indicating that there are unread notifications.

What I expected:

Do not notify me of something I have not subscribed to.

This bothers me as well. Escalating to our engineering team here: [allura:tickets:#5303]

Note, it is possible to dismiss the notification, if you click through to https://sourceforge.net/user/updates, it'll show a "Mark all read" button, though that's only a temporary measure.

    Greetings,

It's now possible to remove items from your download history, on your user updates page, hit the toggle button labelled "Remove individual downloads", then hit one of the "Remove" buttons that shows up in place of the "Subscribe" buttons for each download you want to remove from your history.

You are only notified of items in your download history.
