MindForger (https://mindforger.sourceforge.io/) is Markdown IDE w/ ambition to become thinking notebook for your ideas, howtos, plans, notes, research logs, exam preparations, etc. . With MindForger you can easily search, browse, edit and manage your knowledge while MindForger is learning, recalling, recognizing, providing associations and forgetting.

MindForger is written in C++ with UI in Qt. As SCM is used Git . Currently it runs on Linux and (certain) macOS versions.

    I'm looking for:

    • macOS maintaner - a developer who is able to test and do (minor) fixes on recent macOS versions. I prepared .dmg for macOS 10.12, however, there is huge space for improvements (I'm not macOS user): keyboard shortcuts (usual in macOS world), L&F, seamless desktop integration, performance improvements, macOS versions specific support and more.

    • Windows port developer - MindForger currently doesn't run on Windows, however, with a relative small effort it could be ported (I already started). Frontend is written in Qt (portable OOTB), but backend library uses a few Linux specific functions/libraries (+ folles Linux conventions like filesystem paths/CRLF/... will be needed). Anyway this is a great opportunity to joint project, make MindForger available to new users and enjoy building the community there.

I don't have any requirements regarding skills (beginner/advanced) - I'm looking for a passionate developer who likes the project and who is willing to use it.

Please contact me at martin.dvorak at mindforger.com and I will be happy to share with you more details!
