Greetings!

We are seeking Java/J2SE/NetBeans Platform programmers for our start-up project jEDI Master. We are currently looking for as many "interns" as we are able to bring on-board, as well as 2-5 paid developer positions.

We are creating an Electronic Data Interchange automation system that will be the foundation for a much broader Enterprise Resource Planning & Management system. This project has a two-year time frame for the EDI automation system, with on-going development and improvement beyond this timeframe.

Our primary focus is on the manufacturing industry at this time, with future plans to expand into the following industries:

  • Banking
  • Financial (stock/bond markets)
  • Insurance
  • Logistics
  • Medical
  • Real Estate

Each of these industries use EDI for B2B communications and our system will grow to fit the needs of all EDI industries.

We are developing our system from the ground up on the NetBeans Platform. Therefore, we are seeking paid and unpaid interns, as well as 2-5 permanent employees for planning, developing, coding and testing our system to bring it to its fullest potential.

We need developers who are strong in the Java/J2SE programming language and who know, at least, the basics of developing RCP software on the NetBeans Platform. The paid positions will start at $18.00 to $20.00 USD, depending on experience. The internships will be unpaid to start, but could lead to paid internships and the potential for permanent employment with our company.

About Us

We are Integrity Solutions, a small company located in Central Illinois, USA. We have been in business for a little over 15 years, mostly providing wireless communication services, along with some network IPSEC and consulting. We are just starting our software development division due to requests from some of our existing clients to help them integrate EDI into their systems. After looking into this issue and creating a small patch that helps them for the moment, we have decided to tackle their issues by building a system from the ground up that will be wholly based on a foundation of EDI, instead of attempting to work EDI into their existing systems. Our clients have given us the go ahead for this project, so we are starting planning for our EDI/ERP/ERM system.

What's in it for You

Any developers who come onto this project with us, paid or as interns, will get the opportunity to lead our project into the future. You will gain extensive experience in, not only developing and testing the software, but planning and designing it as well.

Also, early this summer, you will have the opportunity to join us for some extensive training that will lead to certification in the NetBeans Platform, at no cost to you (other than your travel expenses). We will be having someone from Oracle provide training on-site at our office in Pekin, IL, on the NetBeans Platform. This training will allow you to become certified at the level you are able to successfully test for, from Certified NetBeans Contributor to Certified NetBeans Engineer. This training will last 5 days and be very comprehensive for what we at Integrity Solutions are doing.

Just so you know, we will be paying $5,000.00 USD/day for this training for all who come. This will provide you with a(nother) certification that you will be able to put on your resume to improve your future. We will be offering this training to colleges and trade schools around our area, but those who choose to come from these schools will be paying $200.00 USD per day for the training. You, as an intern or employee of ours, will receive this training at no cost to you. Again, other than your travel and lodging expenses to attend.

Our Project Site

We do not have anything as yet. Have I mentioned that we are in the start-up/planning stage? ;-) However, you can surf on over to our project site (which is also still in work) at:

https://jedimaster.sourceforge.io

or to the project summary:

Check us out and contact us. We are extremely excited about this project and its future!!!

How do I Apply?

Simply send me an email at seancarrick@users.sourceforge.net and tell me your level of experience with Java/J2SE and NetBeans Platform development. I will be in touch with you within 1 business day and we can begin the interview process. This process will move as fast or as slow as you respond to my emails. We are hoping for at least 10 interns and, as I've already mentioned, 2-5 full-time employees. Contractors are also welcome to contact me, just let me know in your email that you are seeking contract work.

Thank you all for your time. I hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

Sean Carrick
