DynAikon Ltd is a research-led startup company that provides computer vision solutions for live media arts. We have a number of projects that involve computer vision programming on images and video, visualisation, data analysis for corporate clients and, occasionally, web backend development. We would like to build a relationship with a developer who enjoys working on projects in these areas. Most of our projects are located in the London, Milton Keynes to Birmingham corridor, but can be worked on from home. Competitive day rates commensurate with experiencem but employment also considered.
Programming experience:
o preferred: algorithms written in C and C++
o preferred: experience with OpenGL or equivalent
o preferred: parallel algorithmic implementations, e.g. with GPGPU, threads on CPUs, OpenCL
o valued: node-based programming or familiarity with visual programming environment
o valued: experience in designing GUIs
o valued: experience programming with a physics engine or a games engine (e.g. Unreal)
o valued: dot net, C#, Microsoft Sql
Maths, AI:
o preferred: experience (best is projects) with ML, deep learning (or other NN technologies)
o preferred: image processing, video processing
o valued: audio and time-based function processing
o valued: experience with open platforms such as:
Computer vision: OpenCV,
Robotics: ROS or YARP,
NN: TensorFlow or equivalent
Other valued skills:
o knowledge in perception (literature or experimental)
o art and performance (DJ, VJ, Lighting or else)
o dance or dance notation systems
o engineering and building systems: machines, robots, AV systems
o writing papers: scientific or otherwise
