I'm still pretty new to programming. I'm currently in school gaining a degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Web Game Programming.
I currently finished classes in Procedural C++ Programming and OO C++ Programming. My next class is in Structured Analysis and Design(UML Diagram Design).
I looking to contribute to a project to expand my knowledge, learn from more experienced programmers/devs, test what I have learned, and to network or form a team for later projects.

Don't know if you're still interested or not - I hope you are. I've recently started looking for some good people to join a project of mine, which is about developing a new system programming language. The compiler is operational, but there's so much other stuff to do, from libraries to design patterns there, that I'm finally looking for other like-minded people to help.
"Learning" is guaranteed, as I myself am a professional software engineer for almost 30 years; things from UML to SSADM I can readily help with (RUP and other related stuff goes without saying).
So, if you would like to participate in a real-life programming language project and gain a lot of experience in software engineering, please, give me a shout.
If interested, find me at akapusti@yahoo.co.uk; "akapusti" is also my nick at Sourceforge and "splcomp" is the project I'm inciting you to join.
So, what do you say ?
Andy
P.S. I'll make it sweet: I'm sure you have a project or two of your own, so should we collaborate, I'll offer my help there too. I have learned more than a thing or two in the past just by helping someone with their work.
