Hi all, currently I'm working at my own project CuteCODE
CuteCODE is a minimalistic code editor written in pure Tcl/Tk which is supposed to be a lightweight minimalistic standalone (if build via freewrap) alternative to modern OS-like featured editors for beginners. CuteCODE is now in pre-alpha state and even "find" feature is not implemented yet, but I already work under it beleive it or not. I'm looking for like-minded people who is ready to contribute into CuteCODE's development just for the idea, NOT for money (I'm currently looking for remote job myself). Please feel free to contact me on any questions via e-mail: freesoft.for.people@gmail.com

Wouldn't Tcl/Tk be a bad choice for a "find" function in a long textfile. Sounds more like a job for C or similar knitted into Tcl code. I could imagine it would take too long for Tcl/Tk, but I could be wrong. I'm not familiar with Tcl/Tk specifically.
