It's a great program. It works well for my 7d. However I have a newer camera that takes higher quality video. However it will only record to card and drastically downsamples the video. EOScmr is/was great for recording directly to a HDD and being able to do 5x zoom which allows for 1:1 pixel recording.
My camera is an EOS m100, which isn't compatible with EOScmr. It does have live view and you can direct connect via cable. Apparently even though it is new it's based off of powershot technology. I know this doing research for it. I have tried magic lantern and a few other programs, but none seem to work as of yet.
Canon has a program called "Eos Connect" and "EOS utility" but only "EOS connect" can control the camera, but it still cant do 5x live view recording. It only controls minor actions like start stop and shutter controls.
However coding is well beyond my comprehension. Is virxkane still active? If so do you have any plans on updating? Is anyone else interested?
