the Wavepacket project aims to provide the code for solving the time-dependent Schroedinger equation with numerical methods. Due to various limitations of the original Matlab code, there is currently a rewrite in C++ in progress. Since you can with the latest release treat some realistic systems, I thought it would be a good time to improve the installation process.
Currently, it requires to compile a handful of external non-standard libraries, which seems to have been a problem for every potential developer so far. Also, it currently runs more or less only under Linux (/Unix). This I would like to change. On one hand, the process should be made more flexible if required (Mac/Windows), on the other hand ready-made packages, and especially the workflow to later reproduce such packages, should be prepared.
