The Whonix Project is an anonymous operating system, based on Debian & Tor, is looking for help.
Whonix Documentation is quite comprehensive, but too technical. It's missing "for dummies" sections, with practical step by step instructions and screenshots.
I am also open for more innovative ways to document Whonix, such as videos, slide shows, screenshot instructions and so on. Whatever helps users best.
I am Australian, resident in Ipswich, Queensland, which is an independent city contiguous with Brisbane, the state capital. I am not quite clear about the actual type of person you are looking for. If you are looking for someone who has very good English skills, is creative in drafting documentation and knows their way around technical documents, I may be able to help.
I am not a programmer or web developer, I am a complete novice in those areas, although I have built my own website (which is no advertisement for my skill level, I have to admit!). In my normal work situation, I am a sole proprietor business consultant helping the owners of small & mid-size businesses to become investment ready and investor friendly and then raise some equity capital for business expansion purposes. I am therefore quite skilled in creatively using English to develop business plans and their associated documents that can be easily read and understood. This is important when a client has a very technical project that has to be presented to prospective investors in a format that they can understand.
If you think I may be able to help your project, please let me know.
You can see my profile on LinkedIn.
kind regards,
Graham Segal

Technical writer, 10 years experience (mostly policy and procedure with some user-level manuals and quick start guides) in Windows environments (but want to diversify). Looking for involvement with open source writing with/or introductory-level QA work.
Currently in-between projects, and am studying programming languages with an eye towards future API or software documentation work.
