Is there any way to suppress this screen-dimming "WE VALUE YOUR PRIVACY!" popup?

I can see it driving a lot of visitors away. As for me if I visit a site and the screen starts to dim, usually means it's a clickbait site I've landed on by accident, so the browser CLOSE button gets hit rightaway.

    Hi,

It is necessary for us to ask for user consent in the EU, to be compliant with GDPR laws. As such, the popup is required and not something we can remove. It should remember your choices, so you won't have to see it again - at least not for a while, depending on your choices and vendor updates.

    Sincerely,

I somehow doubt if GDPR actually requires so invasive a notice, but in any case its actual effect is that unless the visitor allows permanent storage of third party cookies on their computer (which means being tracked across the Web) they will be pestered by it every time they visit SF.

So, in a way it's actually forcing the visitor to accept that which GDPR is supposed to prevent.

If it were possible to press Esc to get rid of it, it would be less of a nuisance.
