My password used to be 48 chars long, so I couldn't update password. Workaround: reset password via e-mail. Then I was told that password length is max. 32. It's 30 chars max indeed!
Please be more specific about password rules to spare others from this hassle.
I met some difficulties, too, with my id. when registering. I'd spent almost one hour in trials before I could complete the registration.
There were historical reasons for why the password length was limited to 32 characters. We've tested these and found they no longer apply, so we've raised the limit to 128 characters.
That said, it is still a good idea to enumerate the requirements, so we have a ticket for that here: [allura🎟️#7459]
