Hi, it would be great if there was an option to turn OFF auto-subscription to tickets under the SF Allura interface. Right now when you create or modify a ticket (or someone assigns you as the owner) the system automatically subscribes you to the "nosy list" of the ticket. The project I work for instead uses an email list to get all the tracker traffic out through a common list, so now developers start getting duplicate emails. Would be nice just to be able to turn off auto-subscription. Thanks,
-Gerhard
I support this, and more granularity/versatility in general for eMail options. Ideally, the only eMails I'd want to receive via SF are private messages from members who may not wish to post their communications in public - but the current User Messages section of the Preferences page doesn't allow for this unless you also agree to accept eMail copies of every post you make, and copies of every reply others make to topics you've posted to - and there's no way to say "I'm perfectly capable of managing my SF posts without you 'helpfully' regurgitating everything to my inbox", and also no way to say "just because I posted to a topic, it doesn't mean I want to automatically subscribe to eMail about it".
(I read many of the tickets mentioning eMail, and this one seemed closest to what I want - but maybe it'd be more appropriate to create a new ticket instead. Please advise.)
