Hi,
I'm having problems trying to import .xyz files into 3D forest. The file is 1.03 GB. I get the error message "Cannot parse the imported file." Any ideas what the issue may be?
Cheers,
Heather.
that message is followed by this one
and just one note. I am not sure if you already create a project
folder. First you need to create project with projection matrix and
place where all created files will be. and after this you can import
files.

HI Heather,
can you a little bit more describe your data (just few lines of your
data)? this can happen when i.e. coordinates are not separated by
space. or you can make las file using lastools and import the the las
file instead.

Hi,
The data is separated by space and is clearly in xyz format with 3 columns but I don't think I Imported into a project so that might be my issue. I'll check that later. Thanks for the reply.
Heather.
Hi,
So I created a project and imported the data but I still get the same error messages. Here is a screenshot of my file. The only other thing I can think of is that I wasn't sure which transformation matrix to pick so i just picked no_matrix. Could that be a problem?
Heather.
Hi, just wild guess, check if your path to the project folder contains
spaces. this can be also problem. If this will not help maybe try to
make las file (using lastools) and import las file.
