#50 Cups fails to print to HP Laserjet 2100 using pxlmono

When setting up my HP Laserjet 2100 using the suggested
pxlmono driver, I get an error when trying to print the
test page. This is what my printer outputs:

The printer is connected to the router and can be
reached by printing to lpd://192.168.0.1/lp. When using
the hpijs driver, it is able to print, however at a
much lower rate, which is quite unhandy for a high
volume laser printer.
