Today, Foodsoft 4.6.0 has been released. Foodsoft is online software for running a non-profit foodcoop (a collective do-it-yourself supermarket) with a product catalog, order cycles, accounting, tasks and more.

There have been many changes. Some big ones are:

• Foodsoft can now be used in the Spanish language (thanks to @acracia).
• The possibility to automatically close orders, including sending the order PDF by mail.
• A new view for showing unpaid invoices.
• A plugin for integration with Discourse forum software.
• Custom fields for users, suppliers, ordergroups and invoices.

Today Foodsoft 4.5.2 has been released. Foodsoft is online software for running a non-profit foodcoop (a collective do-it-yourself supermarket) with a product catalog, order cycle, accounting and tasks.

This is mostly a maintenance release. Thanks goes to contributor paroga, who fixed some issues, and added a feature to the messages plugin for responding by email (though it requires some additional configuration). See the changelog for all updates.... read more

I'm happy to announce the release of Foodsoft 4.5.0, more than a year since the previous one. Foodsoft is online software for running a non-profit foodcoop (a collective do-it-yourself supermarket) with a product catalog, order cycle, accounting and tasks.

There have been a lot of changes. What are the most important ones?

• Invoices now support an image and PDF attachment, and there is a new invoice role.
• Orders now have a pickup date and an optional box-fill phase.
• Color markings for articles with missing items in the member ordering screen.
• Messages are threaded, and messagegroups help members to subscribe to relevant messages only.
• Allow ordergroups to have a break period (like holiday).
• Allow ordering articles for stock as part of a regular order (alternative for deliveries).... read more

Some users experienced a problem when installing Foodsoft 4.4.0. That's why Foodsoft 4.4.1 was released today. If you were able to install 4.4.0, you can ignore this email.
For all users who are yet to upgrade or install Foodsoft afresh, please use 4.4.1.

What was the matter? It appeared that Foodsoft wasn't compatible with Ruby 2.0 anymore. Also, the location we used for an external library disappeared this week. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Download the new release here.

There have been a lot of changes. Some noteworthy:

• There is a now a review step after uploading articles, similar to shared database sync.
• Uploading of Excel and Openoffice spreadsheets directly (no CSV required anymore).
• Wiki and footer understand contain dynamic expansion variables.
• Recurring tasks can now be edited (@robwa).
• A number of small and useful usability improvements by new contributor @paroga.

• Admins can login as a different user ("sudo")
• Cleanup of how groups as shown in the profile screen
• Members can now edit their ordergroup's address in the profile screen

What's new?

• PDF options for fontsize, pageformat and -breaks.
• Performance improvements.
• The potentially dangerous 'settle directly' button was moved to the order's balancing screen.
• New screen to view all financial transactions (and download them as csv).
• Configurable page footer.
• The use of messaging and apple points is now optional.
• When synchronising with the shared database, much more units are recognised (e.g. 20gr, 5lb, etc.).

were happy about every support or just interested visitors...
