thank you, that's great.  i'll have a look at the style after that,
then i will make it correctly the next time :-)

i heard about some problems on redhat regarding the readline
extension.  don't know yet if it's a compile-time-problem or something
regarding the load-path on that system...  perhaps a line in your
configure-summary would be fine to be informed whether the readline
extension will be build with which library.
