I'm seeing just the fontset message too, but not the stuff after "Help!".

This is built from sources from 23:14 GMT 25-Feb-2011, Ubuntu oneiric on an x86_64
The application seems to function though.

I should say, I have seen it before in other versions, but it is not happening on a similar system on an x86 machine.
Any ideas?
