Trivial example: The glyph for "i" generally has a very different width than the glyph for "M". > How can I specify, for example, 12-point for both of these fonts and > have them look right? That is, how can they both be 12-poing? A 12 point font is one that is 12 points high. It says nothing about the widths. I'm not sure what you mean by "Rigth". > Finally, is there a way that I can scale all the glyphs of the > Latin-based font to have the same width as the Chinese font? Sure, but they'll look really ugly. Select all the latin glyphs, Element->Transform Choose "Scale" (NOT Scale Uniformly) Set the X Scale to be 2048 / 1229 *100(whatever that is) Set the Y scale to 100 Or you could set the widths of all the latin glyphs to 2048 and then center them within the width. |
