The short answer: You can't. There is no standard bitmap only format for an sfnt file. Apple has a bitmap only format which works on Macs (and freetype/X11) X11 has a bitmap only format which only works under X11 (and freetype) MS does not support a bitmap only format. So if you want a cross-platform bitmap only font, you can't have one. On the other hand, you could turn it into outlines. Unless you have a really high res bitmap font (unlikely from a .FON file) you are better off tracing the glyphs by hand than using autotrace. Use File->New, File->Import to import the .FON glyphs into the background layer, and then trace them in the foreground. |
