I haven't used Prototype yet, but have read the docs and quite a few
reviews.  It's benefits are not limited to Ajax.  I think the event
handling and OO helper objects/functions look very useful also.   The
event handling specifically, looks like it will save alot of effort
finishing up the keyboard shortcut work.
