Hi,

i run across the fobs and ffmpeg projects the first time just a few minuts ago.

my understanding of this projects until now is, that ffmpeg is the "main project" but providing only an ugly C - API and FOBS provids a object-oriented wrapper API in C++ and Java

now im planing to write an application for home use .i dont even have a fixed idea of what it will be. but hopefully it will do some fancy stuff with my multimedia-files :p

now an important aspect of my project is cross-plattform capability - since im using debian-sid on 2 pcs and windows-xp on another. furthermore C# is the language of my choice.

im a java-developer tired of using the same language for years now so i decided to give the mono-project a try to achieve mulit-platform support.

what im wondering about is if FOBS would fit in such a project. im not sure what steps would be necessary to use FMOD in managed code. im very new to this, so hopefully you guys can give me any suggestions (or at least a clear "no" if this is not possible ;) )!

cheers,
Norbert
