Thanks to Mr.Alain Stalder, I'm now publishing 0.8. A lot of fixes and improvements. The most important is the spam filter.
Thank you Alain!
I'm back with 0.6. No features added, but services should be much more stable.
I was planning to move from a fork-based server to a multi-thread one, and actually I wrote it. After tests, I found out that that version consumes far more ram and has got worse response times. Moreover I can see several fmta processes in my box (shouldn't be just one?). I'll further investigate... Stay tuned!
The foxboard I'm using in my production environment seems to crash (pop3 demon only) when serving a lot of concurrent users. I'll fix it as soon as I'll be back from my business travel. Stay tuned!
If you're upgrading your installation, please carefully read README.TXT
You'll find a lot of news!
I'll release 0.5 in a couple of days.
News? YES!
I've almost rewritten everything from scratches. Code is cleaner, deploy is simpler, managing account is now professional.
Stay tuned!
4MB email size limit is now removed (actually you can config the maximum size at will) and other improvements.
Please remember to update your fmta.conf!
Just leave a message in the forums or drop me an email, if you're enjoying it!
I'm trying to make it serve an usb printer (just like an old jetdirect print server). It is hard to port CUPS and I've got no time to do some usb programming. Could anyone do that? Please let me know.
After "intensive" testing in the weekend, here is version 0.3. Just overwrite the old binary files for quick update. Please read readme.txt and changelog.txt for full details. I'll now take some weeks of pause in this project (apart fixing some big bugs that may come out) because my real job needs my full attention also in weekends... 8-(
Bug in config file parsing fixed. I received a couple of interesting emails about that, but I'd prefer everyone to use the forums for bug notices and workarounds. Bye!
I've had some emails about an error in parsing the config file (e.g. mailstore directory not found). Please edit the config file with vi or easyedit. Notapad will likely leave some unwanted characters (e.g \r) that break the parsing of the file. I'll make it stronger in version 0.2, but for the moment I'll give you this advice.
I've just released version 0.1
See you on the forums for discussion/help/support/contributions!
