That would be very nice. I bought the Missing Sync v4.0.1 not realizing that it supported FMMobile 7 only, and not earlier versions. Not only didn't it work with my earlier version but it screwed up something that has now made it impossible for me to sync FMPro (5.5v2) with FMMobile (v2.0.2.15) using the HotSync Manager (after I had removed the Missing Sync), which had previously worked perfectly. It had somehow made it impossible to enable the Mobile Plug-in in FMPro, which needs to be enabled for it to sync with FMMobile).
Anyway, if this really works I may have to buy the Missing Sync again, because I had them refund my money (with a little pressure from American Express). Their customer support is only via email; there is no phone support, which can get frustrating.
The bottom line is that, probably along with most of you on this forum, I'd love to get back to FMSync and JFile, which is what I assume you're saying now works with the Missing Sync, right?

I've just upgraded to Missing Sync 4.0.3 and FMSync: JFile X freezes Missing Sync, requiring force quit of app and soft reset of T5. A few other odd things are happening on my Palm, so it may be just me, but wanted to post in case others have the same experience.

For anyone that missed it, a new update of Missing Sync 4.0.4 was just posted that supposedly fixes Fmsync compatibility that was broken in 4.0.3. Personally, I haven't tried it yet, as I haven't yet purchased a Palm pda that has a current enough OS. (I purchased Missing Sync a while back not knowing that my old TRG pro was not compatible. Anyway, I'm close to buying a new Palm, but I sure would like to hear more reports about how well FmSync is working with Missing Sync. Let me hear those happy reports!

Another followup...
I just bought a new Tungsten E handheld, and FMSync works great with Missing Sync... In fact, I'm completely amazed at how well it works. Missing sync was also deadly easy to set up.
I would like to hear reports from Treo 600/650 owners and also Kycera 7135 and/or any palm os 4.0 and up pda/phone. I have 14 days to return my Tungsten, and I sure would like all that functionality in a Phone.

Hi Stephan
I am still having sync problems with FMsync. I am using Missing Sinc 4.0.4 and Filemaker 6 with OS 10.3 and still no luck. When I sync the FMSync conduit freezes up and then crashes.
Will this work with Filemaker 7 ?

Sorry it's not working for you. No it won't work with Filemaker 7, but it's working great here on 6. So, it must be something that you can fix. I would suggest making a brand new database with just a couple of fields in it or something. Sync that one first. Then if that works,go back to your original database, and make sure you've got sharing set to "single user mode". I'm trying to think here... oh, no container fields. Also, you can't do anything else while FMsync is trying to sync. Actually, I usually close Filemaker down, then start the hotsync and walk away from the computer for a few minutes.
HTH!
