Cleanup: remove inparen parameter from gather_some_args.
This hasn't been used since bug #566 was fixed.

Fix a typo in a comment

Rename gather_more_args to argument_is_available and add "const" to the argument.
This emphasizes that the function is a simple predicate with no side-effects.
That is, it doesn't gather anything, it just says whether an argument could be gathered.

Declare gather_some_args as static, since it is not used outside this file.

Add/improve some comments

Remove an incorrectly placed comma in a comment

Improve the wording of the first paragraph of BITSAVE.
At first, I only wanted to clarify that

> It also allows you to add more work to an existing piece of work.

means it overwrites a file (at least that's what I think it meant), but after updating that, it triggered a complete rewrite of the paragraph.

Merge updates from English style checker into Spanish style checker.

Fix one last use of "e.g."

Additionally ban "ie" and "eg" with a comma after it, since I just found an instance of that.
