Add some function comments.

Also add some logic to write whatever text was destined for the commander's recall box to the screen. In addition to being a more complete implementation of Logo, this is an inexpensive way of printing out when errors happen, which is very helpful when debugging.

Remove trailing " from some of the version information fields.
