If I put myself in the position of a child, I could imagine that the entry into FMSLogo is difficult if it is not done in the school. I suggest a welcome screen with subsequent quick-startup-guide, which shows the basic features of the development environment ("this is the turtle","this is the commander", "this is the editor", "this is the manual" and so on).
