[FMPP] variable concat

I need to do something like this:

<#assign coolnot="super" >
<#assign test="cool">
<#assign result="${test}not" >
${result}

this produces "coolnot"

Is there anyway to get it to produce "super" ????

I need it to look up the value of "coolnot" and not return the string 
"coolnot" ?
