#114 Open new window grouped with focused window

Phil Dier

patch adds new key command 'ExecCmdAutoGroup' which
works just like Exec, but opens the resulting window
grouped with the current focused window or group.

just a note as I go through things (hopefully come back here soon).

    - indentation
    - check for transient before useAutoGroup...
    - investigate old behaviour of opening menu off tabs and launching with a command like this.

    I have also an idea:
Just make an 'AutogroupNext' so that one can hit the keystroke and run anything. The original behaviour would be available with MacroCmd.

This sounds really useful, wondering why its not yet integrated.

Just got it running with fluxbox 1.0.0 on gentoo. Had to manually merge two files. Really cool, I can now open a firefox tab in any application!

Adding a new command is rather limited, for you need to create a shortcut for every client to launch this way, resp. need to allow and invoke fluxbox-remote.

The "AutogroupNext" suggestion is better, but ignores the async nature of such thing, ie. the "next" client might not be the one you intended. Since the wish is strong, one would eg. also honor it for transients(?) which can pop up every time. Similar issues arise for splash screens.
Also, you'd have to re-trigger it every time you wish to autotab things - what could be nasty when done in a row.

Right now, you can autogroup random client, but per fluxbox/apps entry - but not at will.

Wrt. request #78 and #36, I'd suggest to simply have another placement strategy.
It covers transients and splashes (placement is generally special cased) and allows a series of auto-tabbed launches w/o re-pressing a shortcut, adding shortcuts for random clients or invoking fluxbox-remote.

A shortcut could then (as right now) be bound to select the placement strategy (SetResourceValue session.screen0.windowPlacement RowMinOverlapPlacement / SetResourceValue session.screen0.windowPlacement AutotabPlacement)
